Zwischen Dom und Römer ist eine bemerkens- werte Architektur auf Grundlage historischer Pläne fertig gestellt worden, die u.a. den Archä- ologischen Garten überbaut hat und die alten bedeutsamen Wege, insbesondere den Krö- nungsweg, wieder zur Geltung bringt. Die Inter- pretation des ehemaligen Altstadtkerns zeigt neue Bau- und alte Handwerkskunst in einer Kombination aus zeitgenössischem und histo- rischem Formenrepertoire. Mit der Fertigstellung seit 2018 ist eine ausge- wogene Kombination aus Wohnen und Gewer- be mit 35 »neuen«, zum Teil rekonstruierten Alt- stadt-Häusern, wie z. B. Goldene Waage oder Rotes Haus, errichtet worden. In den Erdge- schossflächen stehen 32 Flächen für Läden, Gas- tronomie und Gewerbe zur Verfügung, die Umbruch · Change... A remarkable architecture based on historical plans has been completed between the cathe- dral and the Römer. Among other things it was built above the Archaeological Garden and brings the old significant paths, in particular the coronation path, to bear again. The current interpretation of the former historic center shows new building techniques and old crafts- manship in a combination of a contemporary and historical repertoire of forms. With its completion since 2019 a balanced com- bination of residential and commercial uses has been achieved, with 35 „new“, partially re- constructed old town houses, such as “Golde- ne Waage” (golden scale) or Rotes Haus (red house).
